Commercial Solar, made EASY.

Take a look at three core solutions, turnkey and tailored to your business.

Three Core Solutions for Commercial Solar

The following solutions are tailored to your business to give you clarity on which path to take.

Self-funded

Capital is funded by you entirely. You will own the system outright from day 1 and see the benefits of savings from the offset. A cost efficient route into solar with payback periods as low as 3 years.

Asset Financed

Asset Finance can keep your all important cash flow free to use on other projects and operate your business whilst allowing the utility of solar to reduce your expenses. Choose from our financing partners or one of your own.

Power Purchase

Power Purchase Agreements are a zero capital expense route into solar. No costs, fees or maintenance! The funder installs the solar, you pay a fixed tariff of 10-19p/kW. (you save difference of what you’d pay the grid)

Trusted

We only partner with companies with the right accreditations and years of experience.

Bespoke

Not every business is the same, getting the right system for your needs is at the forefront of our work.

Convenience

Save countless hours of research and phone calls… just fill in one form one time, we’ll do the rest. Plus no unsolicited calls!

The cheapest

Our services save both our customers and our installers a lot of time and admin. It’s why they can offer us such good prices.

  • We only work with installers that have years of tried and tested experience under their belts, standing the test of time and proving their position in the solar market with high quality work.

  • One of the most important and well known is MCS, it’s currently required to enable SEG (export). All of our installing partners proudly carry this badge along side others such as:

    • EPVS

    • HIES

    • NAPIT

  • In todays solar market, there are a bunch of branded panels, inverters and batteries to choose from - it can all get a bit confusing. Rest assured we only work with installers that stock Tier 1 equipment (that means fancy all black panels as standard).

  • Unlike other comparison quote sites, that simply pass on your data to as many people they can (which leads to lots of unsolicited sales calls)… Solar Assist does it a little different. We actually work closely with our installation partners from start to finish. Your details will only be passed to one of our installers, who will reach out when we ask them to.

  • We only partner with installers that offer extensive warranties and gurantees on both product and workmanship.

  • We don’t like the thought of a customer having no support after a sale, so we choose our trusted network of installers carefully - only opting for ones that have lifetime customer service plans.

FAQs

  • First theorised over 100 years ago by French physicist Edmond Becquerel, he suggested ‘The photovoltaic Effect’, the catalyst for several advancements. The first silicon solar panel was released in 1954, allowing us to harness energy from the sun.

  • In short, yes - almost always. It’s a long term investment, with ‘payback periods’ often being between 5 and 10 years. Since 2020, you can now even make money from your panels with something called Smart Export Guarantee (or SEG). This allows you to export electricity you don’t use to the grid, and receive compensation for doing so.

  • Absolutely. Check out the ‘commercial’ page on Solar Aid for more information on three key solutions that get looked at.

    • Scaffolding around the roof - keeping the team safe.

    • Mounting system - acting as the base of the panels.

    • Panels attach to the mounting system, typically a rail.

    • Connection of electrical systems - the inverter and battery.

    • Switch it all on! You’d now be ready to start saving money.

  • For the most part - nope! Most homes will meet the requirements to fall under ‘permitted development laws’, where you do not need to seek permission from your local authority.

The exception to this is installing onto:

    • A Flat roof

    • Listed buildings

    • Houses in conservation areas (facing road)
